I Am A Christian.

I AM A CHRISTIAN. These four words are said by many who identify as a believer—but what do they really mean? What really makes someone a Christian? 1 Corinthians 4:20 gives the answer: “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power.” Faith isn’t proven by words, but by how God’s power shows up in our lives. You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Talk is cheap.” When our words aren’t backed by action, they lose their weight. Paul addressed this with the Corinthians, who claimed to live like Christians yet allowed pride and arrogance to pull them away from what the Kingdom of God truly stands for.Following Christ calls us to humility and obedience—ideas the world doesn’t always understand. When we are passionate about God, we live with zeal, recognizing our gifts and talents are not about us, but for His honor and glory. NCCD Messengers of Peace, being truly filled with fervor means being led by His Spirit and moved by a genuine desire to honor God. It is shown in our actions: showing mercy to others, being rooted in the Word, and discipling others in ways that unite the Kingdom rather than divide it. When God’s power is evident in our lives, we live surrendered, no longer relying on our own strength. 2026 is the time to move beyond just saying “I AM A CHRISTIAN” and begin living it. This is where the power of God will abide in us.
